January 23, 2003 - "We Won't Do This Too Often: AN EGOTISTICAL PERSONAL WRITER'S JOURNAL"
This is how things work in Israel. I found a Hebrew
publisher for
new book Save Israel. One of the stipulations of our agreement was that he
take care of all tax issues. I am too disorganized to handle taxes and I
prefer to stay out of trouble. He agreed and I had to meet his accountant
the next evening.
Now wouldn't you know it? His wife is a nurse at Ichilov Hospital,
where Rabin was murdered. And she asked that I bring some medical documents
along to satisfy sme morbid doubts she had been harboring.
It wasn't the clinically peculiar circumstances of Rabin's death that
bothered her; it was his bodyguard Yoram Rubin. She knew someone personally
and he had a story. This led to the following conversation. The last name
of the person will not be revealed, as requested:
"Rubin wasn't Rabin's personal bodyguard. He was a last minute
replacent."
"I know that," I answered. "I was told Rabin's personal bodyguard was
someone named Tzachi and he was sent away a week before the assassination."
"No, it wasn't Tzachi. It was Adir ... He works for the Shabak and
lives on Kibbutz Miflasim. I can tell you that he was in shock after the
Rabin murder. He was supposed to guard him that night. But a week before,
he was sent abroad on a waste of time assignment. He knows Rubin did
everything wrong, like he was trying to get Rabin killed."
"Does he believe that's what happened?"
"He's never said so but he has to have suspicions, doesn't he?"

Amicam, a documentary producer, was intrigued by the water side of
the Owens murder story. Which leads us away briefly to a few people who
have been having intense conversations with me lately.
I always enjoy a phone call from Hadassa Har-El. She has a strong
understanding of how the world operates and explains so in her black
American lilt, which is really pleasing to listen to. A few weeks ago she
told me that the Health Ministry announced it was going to heavily
fluoridate Israel's drinking water and some people she was working with
smelled a rat. I spoke with three of her associates and they've done their
homework.
Amicam had just completed his own research on the same subject and
observed, "There is no doubt that the Israeli corporation supplying the
chemical paid off people in the Health Ministry. But you're never going to
find out who. The seal is tight on these bribes."
In the early 90s, I wrote about twenty articles for the Gemini News
Service, a Third World-oriented organization, and I had the pleasure of
seeing my work reprinted in newspapers throughout Africa and Asia. Perhaps
my most widely published piece was called, Dream Water. It was an early
example of my acquiring real insider information.
Once again, here's how things work in Israel. I was writing for two
British water-related magazines and I visited the government hydrology
authority to gather facts. And who gave them to me but the assistant to the
authority head, Yaacov Tzemech. Now that name may not mean much to you, and
it shouldn't. But we served in the same regular army unit and liked each
other a lot. He told me his boss was the chief negotiator with the
Jordanians over the water issues included in the recent peace treaty.
Naturally, I asked if I could interview him. Yaacov said he'd try to
arrange a meeting but doubted the likelihood, since his identity was
deliberately not publicized.
Yet, the negotiator met me on condition of anonymity in the article,
and after a while, trusted me. While beginning the conversation in civil
servicese, he slowly switched to the truth. And when he did, he often
choked up. By the end, he was close to tears. He told me that he received
instructions to transfer 50 million cubic meters of water to Jordan every
year and he admitted he did so against his better judgement.
"We don't have the water," he told me. "We are making up dream water.
We're finding spare water in dams that won't be built and spring water that
can't be tapped. The government has completely accepted the Jordanian
position that we owe her the water because we divert water from the
Kinneret that would haved flowed to them by the the Jordan River. It's a
crazy argument. The Kinneret is our lake, not theirs.
"I hope I'm doing the right thing; that peace will be worth it all.
Because the Kinneret is going to shrink barring a miracle. We don't have
the 50 million cubic meters to spare. This treaty means the Kinneret could
turn into another Dead Sea in twenty or thirty years."
Which brings us to the prophetic Christian writer and broadcaster Jim
Searcy. He visited Israel recently and I took him to my favorite fishing
resort. Looking at the flowing river, Jim did some proselytizing, which I
always resent. The Kinneret, he insisted, is drying up because of a drought
the bible prophecized in end times. I could relate to that but I sure don't
want to switch religions to be saved from the upcoming deadly thirst. All
that aside, I still consider Jim a good buddy, but he's got his facts wrong
on this.
"Ever since the Jordanian/Israeli Peace Treaty," I explained, "there
is a drought reported each year. In the past five years I can recall that
one winter was a real disaster, one was pretty dry and the others were
better than average. And even in those years, droughts were reported though
everyone knew lots of rain fell. The explanation was always that it fell in
the wrong places. And every year the Kinneret falls by about 50 million
cubic meters, the same amount shifted to Jordan. The Kinneret is shrinking
because of corrupt diplomacy, not drought."
Jim refused to budge on the issue but Amicam saw eye to eye with me.
"I want to focus my documentary on the desalinization plant that Wayne
Owens and Peres set up in Ashkelon. I've just been doing research on water
issues and the whole water field here is criminally run. Ginosar may have
gotten Owens angry but my feeling is that water got him killed.
"What I noticed is that this desalinization plant will produce 50
million cubic meters of drinking water a year. That is exactly what Israel
forks over to Jordan. My first reaction is that besides skimming from the
budget, Peres and Owens were involved in a hugely expensive plan to cover
up the damage caused by the Jordanian peace treaty they organized. The
Ginosar scandal left Owens highly exposed in the water scam since he was
head of the board of the desalinization project, while Peres was merely in
charge of the NGO side of the enterprise. I don't know how they're going to
get away with calling this winter dry. It's been too rainy for that. But
the Kinneret won't rise much because of all the water they gave away. This
plant in Ashkelon was a patchup for a bad treaty and Owens was the head
patcher."

When I was an eighteen year old university student in Canada, I
volunteered for a CIA-run desensitization experiment. It seemed like an
easy way to make $100. I was blindfolded and put into a dark, empty, tiny,
soundless room for a week. I later turned this experience into a radio play
which was broadcast over BBC Radio and utilized in a BBC TV film.
Before entering the room, Professor Ketner, who ran the program, read
me 30 words three times, which I had to repeat. By the third try, I
remembered 23. He said I was a champ. For the first day in isolation, I
spent my time trying to remember all 30 words. In time I recalled them all.
After a week, I was released from my confinement and the first thing
Dr. Ketner tested was the effect of isolation on memory. He asked me to
repeat the thirty words he recited a week before. As I recalled them one by
one, I could see the doctor was becoming emotional. When I hit number 30 he
blurted out, "No one has ever done that before. No one has ever come close.
This defies all our results. Your memory becomes perfect in isolation."
Not wanting to spoil his opinion of me, I didn't mention that I
passed my first 24 hours in an obsessive hunt for all the words. But I do
have an ability to memorize words and that's how to become a Scrabble champion.
Which brings me to a past life. In the 1980s I memorized about 25,000
words from the Scrabble dictionary and became a championship player. I won
the Israeli national tournament four times and the Jerusalem city club
championship five times. In 1987, I competed in what was then, the largest
American Scrabble championship ever, in Atlantic City. I came in the top
third, probably making me one of the top thirty players in the world at the
time. I turned this experience into an article which became an extended
feature in the April 1987 edition of the Atlantic Monthly. It is now
archived on the Atlantic site. Go look at my youthful writing.
Which brings me to a little pressure lately to write about the recent
death of a Jerusalem Post columnist and the curse of the Jerusalem Scrabble
Club. This club was founded in 1982 by Bill Blum and Sam Orbaum. Blum was a
psychologist, a therapist, and he had that typical professional personality
trait of showing empathy for everyone. That made him likable to most
people. Not long after the club was founded, Bill's father had a fatal
heart attack at the club. His last word was, ganglion. Barely a year later,
Bill died of a heart attack. He was 41.
Orbaum was 46 when he died last month. We didn't get along. I hate
losing and competitive Scrabble brought out the worst in me. But it brought
out much worse in many other players who cheated to win. The club was full
of them and I learned how to catch them. This was just practise for the
real thing a few years later.
Orbaum went on to write a rather dreary humor column in the Jerusalem
Post. His audience was limited to those English speakers living in Israel
who never caught on to the language or culture and thus, live in deep
alienation. I figure his total audience couldn't have topped 20,000 such
lost souls.
The Jerusalem Post is filled with people existing in purgatorial
Israel, living with one foot in their former countries. The editor, one
Caleb Ben David publicly admits he doesn't speak Hebrew well or read Hebrew
at all. Another writer and I had a sad discourse. Rabbi Stewart Weiss' son
Ariel was killed in action in Nablus two weeks after an article appeared
about him in the Post, pinpointing his location to the enemy. I wrote that
the Post committed a grave wartime error by exposing a soldier to a
heartless enemy and that Weiss was targeted for death in a demoralization
operation. The next day, Islamic Jihad announced that they were responsible
for Ari Weiss' demise and they named him.
A few months later, I initiated a correspondence with Rabbi Weiss.
He felt my article was despicable because it made him complicit in his
son's death. I wrote back that my intention was to save Jewish lives and
this intention was honorable. I added that the family of the victims of
Arab atrocities were never complicit. The mother who puts her child on a
bus to school is not guilty of anything when the bus is attacked. Rabbi
Weiss could not accept that my contention was right and I became
guilt-ridden at the hurt I caused. That's what can happen when you report
the truth honestly and it's a painful side of my work.
The Orbaums, Weisses and Ben Davids join support groups for lost
Anglos, like ESRA and the AACI and this subgroup of Israel despises my
writing and me. I have never once been invited to lecture before chapters
of these groups and they mock my books. They have to; they have not caught
on to Israeli reality and I am shattering the reality they have created for
themselves.
Which leads me to my first journalistic expose. After the Atlantic
piece was published, the door was opened for my acceptance in other major
mainstream publications. New York Newsday published a series of editorials
by me, and I became the Israeli correspondent for numerous trade journals
like The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard.
But the article that I prize above all appeared in the March 14/94
edition of The National Review. Called, The Peres Gambit, I proved that
Shimon Peres and Yossi Beilin cut a deal with Arafat. If Arafat used his
influence to shift Israeli Arab votes in the 1992 elections to Labor or its
leftwing ally Ratz, he would be rewarded with a state. Arafat shifted ten
seats to Peres' parties and ousted the Likud from power. Peres and Beilin
gave terror a home in Israel just to gain power.
The article was noticed and both Maariv and Haaretz forced Beilin to
issue a denial that it was true and to smear my integrity by doing so.
Well, on Jan. 23, 2003, the Jerusalem Post finally proved me right. Uri Dan
wrote;
"During February 1996, Peres rushed off to the Erez Checkpoint to a
meeting with Arafat. The
protocol of that meeting, recorded by the Palestinians, was found
among the documents seized
by Israel in Orient House after the massacre perpetrated with
Arafat's knowledge in the Sbarro
pizzeria in Jerusalem.
"According to that protocol, Peres asked Arafat to stop the terror.
But the gravest item in the
Palestinian protocol testified to Arafat encouraging Peres by
telling him he was prepared to give
a list of tens of thousands of Israeli Arabs recruited by Arafat
to vote for the Labor Party. Arafat
said he had spent several million dollars on this.
"Knowing, as we now do, that Arafat, aided by Shin Bet official
Yossi Ginosar, transfered about
$300 million to Switzerland, a few million dollars were clearly
just chicken feed when it came
to helping a 'friend' get elected in Israel."
It's nice to be proven right, eight years later. Which is probably
par for all my work.

Thanks a million for your book. I have one comment for now. I was reading
your back cover came and across this statement: the Vatican's plan to
create a second Holocaust. Guess what, I heard a Rav's sheir back in the
spring of '01. He was speaking about the Mashiach and the many things that
he will do. The Rav said the Mashiach will go before the Pope and demand
that the Jews be set free from captivity. Now that plays into what you have
stated, the Vatican is planning a second Holocaust. At the time it just
made me wonder. But so our own Tehillim speak of being brought back from

January 13, 2003 - SHARON, GINOSAR, PERES AND THE LATE WAYNE OWENS
Of my previous bulletin, a reader notes:
"Nothing new in what you wrote: it is public
knowledge that Duby
Weisglass was Rashid's lawyer - so all you need to do is put 2 and 2 together."
My reaction: if it is public knowledge that Sharon's
Office Manager
Dov Weinglass is attorney for Muhamed Rashid, who ran the $300 million plus
bank account opened by Yossi Ginosar to hide money Yasir Arafat stole from
his people's Treasury, then why hasn't the public put two and two together?
That little Sharon connection to the Ginosar scandal has remained buried
deep. So let's exhume it for our masochistic pleasure.
We begin with the great idea of opening a casino
in Jericho to
launder Arafat's pilfered treasure. The best plot of land in town was
already owned, so Yasir decided to expropriate it by force:

Mr Hamdouni had bought 40 acres of land in the desert outside Jericho. He
had built a petrol station and planned a housing development.
Then the reality of Yasser Arafat's rule hit Mr Hamdouni. Accused of the
capital crime of treason 18 months ago, he was freed from jail only after
he signed over his land to the Palestinian Authority.
Within months, a front company for Mr Arafat had taken a secret 28 per cent
sta ke in a casino built on what had been Mr Hamdouni's land. The casino
now makes $9 million in monthly profits, but Mr Hamdouni sits at home,
chain-smoking and lamenting the destruction of all the hopes he had for his
people once the long Israeli occupation had ended.
"Who can help me when my land is taken by the 40 thieves? I mean, Arafat
is
Al i Baba," says Mr Hamdouni, who lost #3 million on the petrol station
and
land. "We are under Palestinian economic occupation."
The dream of a Palestinian state, which sustained the people here through
occupation and intifada, has become a nightmare. The state which Mr Arafat
promises to declare in September has all the trappings of independence,
from uniformed police to postage stamps, but it is run as a fiefdom by a
mafia of corrupt officials.
** The dream of Jewish/Arab cooperation in money-laundering
for Arafat
was almost derailed by attorney-general Rubinstein and Weisglass was
hopping mad. **
Israelis may be barred from casino in Jericho
Jewish Telegraphic Agency
JERUSALEM - The recently opened gambling casino in
Jericho could face a major shortage of customers if
Israel's attorney general has his way. Elyakim
Rubinstein determined this week that Israelis, the
casino's prime source of customers, should be barred
from gambling there.
In his decision, he cited a regulation that authorizes
local courts to try Israeli citizens for offenses
committed in the Palestinian self-rule areas. Gambling
is illegal in Israel.
Dov Weisglass, the lawyer representing the Austrian
state-run firm that built and operates the casino,
said Israelis already gamble in Turkey, the Red Sea
resort of Taba as well as at illegal gambling houses
within Israel. Weisglass said he hoped the attorney
general would reverse his decision in light of what he
called the oasis of "peace and friendship" operating
in the West Bank town.
"The attorney general has the authority not to enforce
the letter of the law" when it is considered in the
public interest to do so, Weisglass told Israel Radio.
"I hope he will use his judgment to let this (remain)
a place of peace, cooperation and friendliness."
** Criminal cooperation with Arafat or not, the master terrorist just
murdered so many Jews that Jericho was blockaded. Shimon Peres didn't like
that one bit and he got the blockade lifted after a good talk with Muhamed
Rashid, the gangster Arafat chose to safeguard the Ginosar account in
Switzerland. **

Peres said lifting the Jericho blockade is part of a policy to let
Palestinians lead normal lives despite the violence.
"In the Jericho area, $700 million was invested in different industries...
this plus the tourism... Everything has been paralyzed," Peres told Israel
Radio. "Our position is to allow for a normal lifestyle unconditionally
and
without receiving anything in return... We don't want to harm innocent
people."
Palestinian officials welcomed Peres's statements. One source said the
reopening of the casino and easing the closure on Jericho, which is a
tourist resort, was discussed between Peres and Arafat's financial adviser,
Mohammad Rashid, last Thursday, and not as reported in the Israeli press
between Peres and Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat.
** However, all the ill-gained profits just couldn't stop Yasir from
practising his art of mass murder. So the casino got itself shut down. At
this point Ariel Sharon involves himself personally with Yossi Ginosar.
Sharon meets with Weisglass, his son Omri and Ginosar, all of whom have
personal financial stakes in the casino. The subject of the tete-a-tete had
to have been how to reopen their gold mine, terrorism or not. To Sharon's
credit, his position was opposed to reopening the gambling joint until
Arafat's murders stopped. **
Attention was also directed to an alleged connection
between the Prime Minister's son Omri Sharon and the
idea to reopen the casino. Omri Sharon reportedly
discussed the reopening of the casino at a meeting
with Palestinian officials before the elections.
Attending recent negotiations with Sharon was former
GSS agent Yossi Ginossar, who allegedly has a
financial interest in the casino. Sharon was also
accompanied by Israeli lawyer Dov Weisglass, who also
serves as attorney for one of the casino owners.
** The pressure on Sharon was too much to bear. **

Israel has not had an ambassador here since February 4 last year when he
was withdrawn in protest at the right-wing Freedom Party (FP) joining the
Austrian government. Casinos Austria meanwhile denied it had been involved
at all. Spokeswoman Bettina Stroblich said she knew nothing of the meeting.
The Austrian foreign ministry also said it had not been informed. Earlier,
Israeli reports said Sharon had sent three envoys to Vienna for private
contacts with a top Palestinian official and an Austrian-based businessman.
Sharon's three envoys were his son and election campaign manager Omri,
lawyer Dov Weisglas, and ex-foreign ministry general secretary Eytan
Bentzur. According to the Israeli radio and TV reports, the envoys were to
meet Arafat's economic advisor, and also millionaire businessman Martin
Schlaff, who has a share of the "Oasis" casino.
In Israel, Sharon's press spokesman Rannan Gissin said the aim of the
mission was to take up contact with an influential personality close to
Arafat, and thus to show Sharon was willing for a dialogue with the
Palestinians. Until recently, the "Oasis" casino in Jericho was one
of the
main sources of income for the Palestinian Autonomy Authority, and also a
lucrative source of profit for Schlaff. It was closed last October when
fighting broke out between Israelis and Palestinians. Weisglas represents
Schlaff's business interests in the region. He is reported to be sueing the
State of Israel for the forced closure of the casino, and for damage to the
building caused by gunbattles.
** Not at all to his credit, Sharon mixes diplomacy with Ginosar and sends
his son and Weisglass to Austria to conduct "peace" talks. This is
reality
in Osloland, where the lives of Israelis and Arabs are determined by the
flow of illicit funds from their region to Europe. That being so, here is
why Sharon set up Naomi Blumenthal to be dismissed: **

both Arafat and Israel's Labor Party

"Shortly after the story [about the Ginossar scandal-
DM] was published in Ma'ariv, Sharon instructed the
Mossad to check whether the Swiss accounts were used
to finance terrorism.
Naomi Blumenthal, deputy minister of infrastructure
from Sharon's Likud Party, demanded the establishment
of a state inquiry commission that would examine not
just the Ginossar affair but "all those who took part
in the negotiations with the Palestinians."
** Blumenthal knew all about Sharon, his son Omri, Weinglass and their ugly
ties to Ginosar
and just how deeply they are involved in formulating policy. She can count
herself lucky she didn't suffer the fate of Wayne Owens. Look at the list
of people who decide how much money Arafat is to get from Israel. **

On the eve of Prime Minister Ariel Sharon's visit to
Washington Tuesday, Israel and the US reached an
understanding to enable the transfer of some NIS 2
billion in frozen tax revenue to the Palestinian
Authority, a senior source said.
The US has recently applied heavy pressure to release
the remainder of the funds as a way of easing
Palestinian hardships.
Israel's position has been that it would only release
the funds when it is convinced a supervision mechanism
is in place that would assure the money does not fund
terror organizations.
A senior source in the Prime Minister's Office said
that the mechanism was set up at a meeting Monday of
Palestinian Finance Minister Salaam Fayad, Prime
Minister's Bureau chief Dov Weisglass, Foreign
Ministry Director-General Avi Gil, Finance Ministry
Director-General Ohad Marani, US Ambassador Dan
Kurtzer, and Maj.-Gen. Amos Gilad, coordinator of
government activities in the territories.
The source denied the agreement was an attempt to
"give" the US something prior to Sharon's visit
Tuesday.
The new mechanism will reportedly require the
Palestinian Authority to deliver a list of who is on
its payroll to American and European officials, who
will monitor finances from inside the Palestinian
Finance Ministry.
* Ozrad Lev, Ginosar's partner who spilled the beans to Maariv, served in
IDF intelligence, served as aide to Amos Gilad, the office director of the
commander of military intelligence, who was Ehud Barak at that time.
* Daniel Kurtzer is the CFR's American Ambassador to Israel and the first
foreign backer of Amram Mitzna for PM.
* Dov Weisglass has deeply implicated Sharon in the Ginosar affair.
* Avi Gil was Shimon Peres' Foreign Ministry director and the last man to
see Wayne Owens alive.
WHAT THE GINOSAR REVELATIONS COST
WAYNE OWENS BESIDES HIS LIFE
The Jericho casino wasn't where the real big money
was going. The
biggest scam of all
was the "peaceful" use of water. Wayne Owens was the head of "Middle
East
Energy and Water
Resource Institute."

And his company won the tender to build Israel's
first major
desalinization plant. This was no tiny operation:
"A decision by the Israeli Ministries of Finance and
National Infrastructure to issue an International
Tender for private development of a 50 million cubic
meter per year sea water desalination facility
expandable to 100 million m3/yr (November 5, 2000)."
Arafat was persuaded not to sabotage the plant:
" A formal decision by President Arafat to separate
West Bank water right claims from the need to proceed
immediately with large-scale sea water desalination in
Gaza (April 2000). Efforts started in 1995 by the
founders of the Institute and added to significantly
by the Institute helped bring about this decision
(April 26, 2000). "
And why was Arafat so kind to this enterprise?
"(He) influenced a policy decision by USAID to commit full
funding ($75million) for full and fast-track
development of a Gaza Water Carrier, arguing that this
commitment would in turn stimulate the needed private
investment interest a large-scale desalination
facilities for Gaza (July 2000)."
Now look who gets to supply special projects
for the plant?:
"To magnify opportunities, credibility and
effectiveness during its first 16 months, the
Institute, partnered with its two parent organizations
the Center for Middle East Peace (the Center) and the
International Arid Lands Consortium (the IALC) on most
of its projects. Together with the Center and the
IALC, the Institute also formed strategic partnerships
for specific projects with NGO's Green Cross
International (whose President is Mikhail Gorbechev) and
the Peres Center for Peace (the NGO team)."
Yes, you read it properly. The Shimon
Peres Center For Peace had
its grimy
paws in the honeypot. To remind us all, members of the board of the Peres
Peace Center
included Wayne Owens, Yossi Ginosar and Owens' own business partners Daniel
Abraham and
Stephen Cohen. But let us look at the board structure of the water corporation:

Owens organized the scam and his partners included Peres; Jean Frydman, who
financed the Rabin murder for Peres; Sabih Masri, relative of Hani Masri of
the Peres and Owens' peace centers boards, who headed a scam which bilked
the American government of $60 million intended to boost the PA's
economy; Daniel Abraham, of the board of Peres Peace Center and business
organizer of Owens' peace center; and his assistant, Sarah Ehrman, head of
Peace Now - America. Somehow Yossi Beilin and Mikhail Gorbachev also
received baby-sized bites of the pie.
Look what Owens stood to lose by the Ginosar
affair! No wonder he
was unconsolable. No wonder he had to be hushed up.
The Oslo Peace process was nothing but a huge
embezzlement scam
exploiting Arafat and Peres' unquenchable criminality and the naivete of
government do-gooders in Europe and America. Sharon had a cut of the crime
through his son Omri and his Office Director Dov Weisglass. They had
nothing to do with the desalinization plant where the real money lay, nor
did they murder Wayne Owens. But they stood to profit from the Oslo crimes
and Sharon has chosen to protect them by covering up the Ginosar scandal
any way he can.
Even if it costs him the election.
And Israel, its soul.

Why The Likud Isn't Fighting Back- SHARON AND GINOSAR

The setting: There was a fine casino in Jericho until two years ago. It was
supposedly majority-owned by the Palestinian Authority in a limited
partnership with a group of experienced Israeli casino owners led by Reuven
Gabrieli. But Shimon Peres' special envoy to the PA, Yossi Ginosar got wind
of the plan and had a few ideas of his own. He convinced his buddy Jibril
Rajoub, the PLO warlord of Jericho, to stop construction of the casino
complex, and what better way than to shoo off the construction workers at
gunpoint? Now a new group of owners took over and they reportedly
understated earnings by at least a billion dollars a year. The casino
became a hub of extremely lucrative money laundering. Arafat would pillage
the PA's treasury, while Ginosar and his cronies would hide the money. In
1997, Ginosar opened a Swiss bank account for Arafat and around $350
million stolen from Arafat's peasant class found a safe haven there.
Ginosar's cut for his trouble was around $10 million. For full details of

INTERIOR - DAY - BANQUET HALL BAT YAM JANUARY 8
I am sitting at a table at a brit mila celebration. To my right is Likud
candidate Moshe Feiglin. To his right, Herut Knesset member Michael
Kleiner. The Likud has been victimized by still another scandal and is on
the way to losing the elections. Watch out for Prime Minister Mitzna. The
latest scandal concerns a $1.5 million loan Sharon's sons took from a
businessman named Cyril Kern. It looks like the knockout punch. I explain
the Ginosar scandal in depth to Feiglin and Kleiner, up to the murder of
Wayne Owens. I point out that Barak and moreso, Peres are up to their ears
in Ginosar and the money involved will make the Kern loan seem like loose
change.
But they pretend not to hear. Feiglin tells me the country isn't ready for
this kind of scandal. Kleiner changes the subject and talks about when we
first met some fifteen years ago. What is going on? Why are they ignoring
Ginosar and taking all the punches to the jaw with fatalistic abandonment?
On my left is Prof. Hillel Weiss. He says, "Don't you know Sharon is deeply
involved in the Ginosar affair? Who do you think negotiated the deal for
Arafat's casino?"
HATSOFE, Jan. 10, Item From The Weekend Magazine:
"The Ginosar Affair has been forgotten. Could there be a connection
between the government's neglect of the scandal and the fact that a high
ranking official of Sharon's office conducted negotiations with the same
Palestinians involved with Ginosar? This is even more serious than
Ginosar's role, because he wasn't an official government employee, while
the one we speak of holds a very high-ranking position in Sharon's office."
A BIT LATER - DAY - BANQUET HALL
Hillel Weiss turns to me and answers his own question; "Dov Weisglass and
Omri Sharon were the assigned Israeli negotiators with the Austrians who
ran the casino."
The blow was immediate. Weisglass is Sharon's Office Director and his son
Omri is his special emissary to the PLO. And they were getting a cut of the
stolen Arafat money too!

"It is not clear why $1.5 million were transferred from South Africa to
somewhere else, to a bank in Austria via a bank in New York, until they
finally landed in a branch of Discount Bank in Tel Aviv. Why this
circuitous route?
"What is known, however, is that Omri Sharon and attorney Dov Weisglass
(the director of the Prime Minister's Bureau) visited both Austria and the
United States together this past year. Austria is the domicile of Martin
Schlaff, one of the owners of the casino in Jericho and a partner in the
Bank of Austria. Schlaff is a client of attorney Weisglass."
Which Answers A Lot Of Questions
Like why Arafat permitted the constructon of the casino despite the
murderous protests of his religious opposition. Like why other Ginosar
beneficiaries like Barak and Peres used all their political influence to
keep Arafat solvent no matter how many Jews he ordered murdered. Like why
Omri Sharon was so buddy-buddy with Arafat and his hoodlums. And like why
Ariel Sharon is using all of his political influence to keep the lid on
Ginosar and cover up the murder of another gang member, former congressman
Wayne Owens of Utah.

January 4, 2003 - NOW THE GREEK ORTHODOX FALLOUT FROM GINOSAR
Following quickly upon the Ginosar
scandal, came PM Sharon's
appointment of a terror-advocating priest, Irineos 1 as head of the Greek
Orthodox church in Israel. Now who would believe that this mistaken
judgement call by Sharon could possibly be associated in any way with the
use of Yossi Ginosar as interlocutor for the $350 million intended for the
Treasury of the PA that Yasir Arafat stole from his people?
But it is, it is. The route is somewhat precarious,
so let us save me
the effort of summarizing the Irineos/Sharon background by directly quoting
Arutz Sheva.
More Scoops On The Israeli-Greek Near-Tragedy
Arutz-7 continues to reveal more of what went on behind the scenes in the
decision not to appoint Arafat-ally Irineos I as head of the Greek Orthodox
Church in Israel. It will be recalled that Prime Minister Sharon was in
favor of the appointment, but backed down at the end of last week in the
face of strong opposition from some of his ministers.
Evidence of Irineos' anti-Semitism was provided by a letter he wrote Arafat
on July 17, 2001, stating, "You [Arafat] are aware of the sentiments of
disgust and disrespect that all the Holy Sepulchre fathers are feeling for
the descendants of the crucifiers of our Lord... actual crucifiers of your
people, Sionists [sic] Jewish conquerors of the Holy Land of Palestine."
Irineos' letter asks Arafat for his support, promising that if he is
elected head of the church, "rest assured, Mr. President, that the rights
of our most beloved Palestinian people on the Holy City of Jerusalem will
find the most 'hot' supporter."
Arutz-7's Shimon Cohen has now learned that Irineos tried unsuccessfully to
pull off an underhanded trick that would have gained him legitimacy in the
eyes of the Israeli Cabinet. Atty. Gilad Sher - who served as bureau chief
to Prime Minister Ehud Barak - conducted a correspondence on Irineos'
behalf with Justice Minister Meir Sheetrit regarding a deal between the
Greek Orthodox Church and the State of Israel. The deal would involve the
granting of a 150-year lease to Israel for Church-owned lands on which
stand properties such as the Knesset, the government complex, and the
residences of the President and the Prime Minister. Irineos then sent Sher
a letter of approval for the idea - but did not include his official stamp
and signature. Also "overlooked" was the fact that the Greek Orthodox
Church cannot make any real estate deals without the signatures of all 18
members of its highest religious authority, known as the Synod.
Irineos' plan apparently was to present the deal to the Synod only after it
was approved by the Israeli government; the Synod would likely not have
approved it, but Irineos would thus present himself as a "moderate"
and a
"friend of Israel." When Attorney-General Elyakim Rubenstein learned
of the
ruse, he sent a letter to Justice Minister Sheetrit saying that the
procedure he and Atty. Sher had begun was illegal, because of the Synod
requirement of 18. The trick to "purify" Irineos was thus nipped in
the bud.
To begin this tale, we must return to the
late '90s when Ehud Barak
was prime minister.

"There are still behind-the-scenes efforts to
keep the flagging negotiations
alive. Barak's chief of staff, Gilead Sher, has been meeting with the
Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat. The Palestinian parliamentary speaker,
Ahmed Korei, who has been an outspoken critic of the Clinton proposals, is
said to be ready to meet with U.S. officials in Washington and has reportedly
been secretly meeting with a frequent go-between for Barak, Yossi Ginossar,
a
businessman."

"Other members of the Israeli PR team reveal
the khaki tinge of Mr Barak's
circle: they include the former chief of the Israel Defence Force's northern
command, Major-General Yossi Peled and Amram Mitzna, the mayor of Haifa, the
IDF's former head of central command."
We note that the same Gilead Sher, who
along with Yossi Ginosar and
Amram Mitzna were members of Barak's intimate "peace" team,
was the chosen
emissary to trick Sharon into approving Irineos' appointment as Greek
Orthodox church head. Now what interest did Sher have in promoting Irineos?
Or more to the point, who was he representing? As the following connections
reveal, Sher was upholding the standing of one of the embezzlement partners
of Arafat/Peres Inc.

Let us recall that Yossi Ginosar and Hani
Masri are both members of
the board of directors of the Shimon Peres Center For Peace. Let us recall
still that Daniel Abraham and Prof. Stephen F. Cohen are also members of
that illustrious monument to money laundering. Let us further recall that
the former Utah Congressman Wayne Owens was also a member of the board of
Peres' Peace Center and ran his own peace center in Washington. His
business organizers were Daniel Abraham and Stephen Cohen. And a very close
associate of Owens, Cohen and Abraham was Hani Masri. Working hand in hand
with his peace partners, Masri managed to get the American government to
cough up $60 million to promote business projects in Arafat-land. The funds
were handled by the Capital Investment Management Corporation of Maclean,
Virginia.

Now isn't this a sweet coincidence? Theros, merely
second in charge of
American counter-terrorism
operations, retires and soonafter becomes director of Capital Investment
Management Corporation, which bilked the US government of $60 million by
way of Owens, Peres, Arafat, and Ginosar partner, Hani Masri. And who
appointed him their personal representative in America; why the Greek
Orthodox Patriarch of Jerusalem.
Yes, it's true. The Greek Orthodox Church was all tied
up in the
Ginosar scandal and indirectly, so far, in the subsequent murder of Wayne
Owens.

$60 million equity fund that will invest in the Gaza,
West Bank and Jordan, backed by the Overseas Private
Investment Corporation (OPIC), "demonstrates the
commitment of the United States to furthering the
cause of peace in the region (and) will also directly
lead to expanded commercial cooperation between
American firms throughout the West Bank, Gaza and
Jordan.
"It is now with great pleasure and honor that
I will
introduce the United States Secretary of Commerce, the
Honorable William Daley, who will then be followed by
Undersecretary of State Mr. Stuart Eizenstat and Mr.
Hani Masri, Chairman of the Capital Investment
Management Corporation, who will each make a few
comments about this event today...
Last but assuredly not least, I especially want to
commend Mr. Hani Masri, the chairman of Capital
Management Investment Corporation. Mr. Masri is the
kind of fund manager who will get results for this
fund because of his own expertise and because he cares
for the people of the region. As a Palestinian
American, he has a particular interest in seeing that
the Palestinian people experience what they have not
experienced so far: The fruits of peace, so long
overdue. As you can see today, Mr. Masri has already

But all the great hopes turned to ash, when one Bernard
Bucheit blew
the whistle on this great experiment in Middle East
bunco artistry.

Finally, as noted, Count X of the SAV charges
Representative Traficant with engaging in a continuing
pattern and practice of official misconduct, through
which he misused his office for personal gain, and
which comprised the following instances of conduct, or
any combination thereof: the instances of conduct
alleged in each of Counts I, II, III, IV, V, and VII
of the SAV, separately and inclusive; and/or the
course of conduct in which Representative Traficant
agreed to and did perform official acts on behalf of
Bernard "Pete" Bucheit, for which Bucheit and
companies he controlled agreed to and did provide
Representative Traficant with things of value. On
behalf of Bucheit, Representative Traficant intervened
with United States government authorities with respect
to a contract dispute between Bucheit's company and
Prince Mishaal of Saudi Arabia, and/or with respect to
an investment in the Gaza Strip.

The first American-owned company to invest in Gaza has
been awarded a $15 million judgement against the Cairo
Amman Bank for misappropriating a US government loan.
United States district judge Kathleen McDonald
O'Malley ruled in August that the bank's "pattern of
racketeering activity" had caused the failure of
Bucheit International, Ltd's precast concrete plant in
Gaza. The Cairo Amman bank is one of three banks
permitted to do business in Gaza and frequently
handles donor funds. "Our family has decided that the
Palestinians don't deserve our money and time as long
as a 'racketeering Enterprise' exists in Gaza," says
company owner B.J. Bucheit, Jr. in a response to
questions. Bucheit has appealed to Congress to hold
out on funding designated for the implementation of
"Wye 2" as long as corruption has not been cleaned up.
"The real losers, as usual, are the people of

And there it is, wrapped up in one package. The
Greek Orthodox
Patriarch of Jerusalem appoints Theros its American representative while
Theros is the head of the corporation running the Masri scam. Hence,
weren't Masri, Peres, Arafat, Ginosar, Owens and The Greek Orthodox Church
of Israel all tied up together in the scheme to bilk the US government of
$60 million? And wasn't Gilead Sher pushing for a pro-Arafat Greek Orthodox
church head at the behest of this ungodly cabal of "peace" crooks?
It appears that the timing of Irineos 1's attempted
takeover of the
Greek Orthodox Church in Israel so quickly after the exposure of the
Ginosar scandal was not all that coincidental.

I defy anyone to
prove otherwise. Here are a few vital addendae sent to me regarding the
Ginosar crimes. First, observe that the Greek Orthodox Church in Israel is
involved in at least, one other fraudulent scheme:
Judge investigated for false affidavits

A land dispute in the western Galilee from several
years ago has turned into a national fraud squad
investigation into whether a magistrate judge from the
north, while working as a private lawyer prior to
becoming a judge, filed false affidavits to the court.
The police investigation, currently in the preliminary
stages, involves examining allegations brought to the
police by the losing side in the case.
The land dispute centered around ownership of rights
to develop land owned by the Greek Orthodox Patriarchy
in the village of Samia.
The police is remaining mum on the issue, except to
say it is handling the complaint. The court system
says that the case is in the hands of the police, "and
the judge was not aware of the police examination
until the question was raised" by Ha'aretz.
According to the complaint, the lawyer-turned-judge
represented a group calling itself the Greek Orthodox
Council, which received permission from Greek Orthodox
patriarch Metropolitan Irenios I, to develop the land
as a tourist and pilgrim center.
But an investigation conducted by private detective
Suheil Haddad, a former police officer, commissioned
by Yusuf Nasser of Samia, who lost the case on the
rights issue, allegedly turned up evidence of the
fraudulent affidavits.
Nasser is now calling for a police investigation to
prove the documents were falsified, so that he can
reopen his claim to the land. Nasser claims to have
received permission from Diodoros I, the previous
Greek Orthodox prelate, for the development rights.
Now take in another betrayal by Ginosar
as he worked hand in hand
with Arafat to bank and launder the monies that the PA President For Life
stole from his unwary followers. Moshe Dayan once made some off the cuff
comments that the capture of the Golan Heights in 1967 was an act of greed
lust. He asked that the comments never be published. Ginosar made sure they
were and in doing so, further aided the cause of the enemy:

Those and other of Dayan's thoughts were set down on paper in 1976 by Rami Tal
as they sat in Dayan's Tel Aviv garden. Tal, now a senior editor at the
publishing house for the newspaper Yediot Aharonot, asked permission to
record Dayan's words.
Dayan agreed on condition that they not be published without his permission.
Tal, who printed them in Yediot Aharonot's Passover supplement this week, said
that after Dayan died in 1981, the transcripts sat in a drawer for 15 years.
Last year, he showed them to Yossi Ginossar, a former high official in the
Shin Bet security service and a confidant of Dayan's who urged that they be
published.
One observant correspondent noted, for whatever
it means, that
Stephen F. Cohen, the director of Ginosar's front companies for Arafat, is
a member of the Council On Foreign Relations.

BOOK REVIEW: SAVE ISRAEL
I've just completed Save Israel, Barry Chamish's fifth book in his series
of intelligence briefings on the crisis in Israel. It is a must read. The
first three books by Chamish (Traitors and Carpetbaggers in the Promised
Land, Israel Betrayed, and The Last Days of Israel), as well as Save
Israel, are compilations, with revisions and updates, of his periodic
briefings on Israel, of which I am a recipient. His fourth book, Who
Murdered Yitzhak Rabin?, is a complete work in and of itself and is the
definitive investigative work on the assassination.
Chamish's books should be read as a series because
each work builds
upon the others as Chamish tracks the ongoing saga of intrigue and betrayal
of Israeli sovereignty from within the halls of power. Chamish and I are
both convinced there is a globalist conspiracy controlling the governments
of the US, EU and Israel (though there are competing factions within the
conspiracy, and a vast array of naive, loyal or manipulated government
employees who do what they're told, not being fully aware of the agenda
being advanced under the guise of National Security).
Since there are no defectors from the top echelons,
Chamish finds the
best evidence of conspiracy and betrayal in the accounts of whistleblowers
who tell of government collusion and cover-up for corruption, murder,
blackmail and bribery in high government affairs - all illegal acts that go
unpunished because of a broad system of immunity granted to inside players.
Where Chamish lacks insider testimony, he culls through the police evidence
directly or watches for contradictions in official and media versions until
he figures out what really happens. He could easily qualify as Israel's
Sherlock Holmes. Chamish has a steel-trap logical mind that lets no detail
escape his notice.
Analyzing conspiracy is a fine art. There is a lot
of garbage and
disinformation out there, particularly stemming from certain people who
claim to know more than they can really know and still be on the good side.
These types of people are either disinformation artists or are making some
things up. But, to Chamish's credit, whenever he gets better information,
he is quick to discard the old. He doesn't keep hanging on to problem
information just to save his ego. He's a seasoned fighter and values only
what is ultimately true.
If there are weaknesses in Chamish's books, it is in
the editing.
Perhaps due to the constraints of time and being too close to the action,
Chamish fails to provide dates for comments referring to "last week"
or
some other unspecified date. There are also several Hebrew crossover words
thrown into his writings that are understandable to those who frequent
Israel, but which many readers probably won't understand. Just type them
into an internet search engine as you read along, and a suitable
interpretation will be produced. Lastly, you'll encounter a dizzying host
of new names of key players and conspirators in Israeli operations that
will be hard to keep track of, let alone keep straight. Have patience; the
important names keep surfacing regularly in each new scandal or cover-up,
and pretty soon you'll know who the important ones are. Don't try to
remember them all. It helps if you start with his earlier books so you can
see the big picture.
Save Israel, Chamish's latest, is the best so far. Before his Rabin expos?
gained national attention, Chamish was viewed as a kook, albeit tenacious,
an author to be ridiculed by the establishment press or ignored. No longer
is Chamish ignored. His Herculean efforts to expose corruption in Israel
